Callaway Competition - the battle for the top in the Netherlands
On the next ADAC GT Masters race weekend from 19.08. – 21.08. at the Circuit Park Zandvoort the task for team Callaway Competition is to defend the top places: Daniel Keilwitz and Jules Gounon are currently No. 1 in the drivers' standings with 14 points ahead.
In the last four remaining races are still 100 points to be awarded to the winner, which promises a very exciting final phase of the season 2016.
The team from Leingarten comes to the races at the North Sea dunes with 3 Corvettes:
The two leaders, Daniel Keilwitz and Jules Gounon will also start Zandvoort in the Roller / Valvoline Corvette with the number # 77. After the previous successes the two are eager for more points and expanding the standings!
In the AutoArenA Corvette # 69 Patrick Assenheimer and Dominik Schwager engage in the fight for the points. With very good performances in the previous rounds they could also collect points in the and thus contribute to the leadership of Callaway Competition in the team standings.
Eric Curran and Loris Hezemans start at Circuit Park Zandvoort in the Whelen Corvette with starting number # 31. The aim of both is to finish in the front half of the field.
The two team manager Ernst Wöhr and Giovanni Ciccone are optimistic for the race:
"The track is one of the medium-long racetracks with 4 right and 9 left turns, but very different sea-side influences that need to be considered there, depending on weather conditions. But we are very well prepared and work hard to achieve our goals for the season. The whole team is, as always, highly motivated and we would be pleased if you support us! Whether in front of the screen live on Sport1 or directly at the track!"
